Operator

Abstract base for every operator element — LogicalOperator (and its subclasses And/Or), CompOperator (and its comparison subclasses), and Not all extend it, directly or indirectly. It only declares the _operatorType field; parsing operands and serializing to SQL is left entirely to each subclass.

Operator cannot be instantiated directly; calling Operator() or new Operator() throws a TypeError ("Operator is abstract and cannot be instantiated"). You always work with one of its concrete subclasses, documented individually in this section.

Constructor

Operator(): Operator
new Operator(): Operator

Dual-callable, no-argument constructor, guarded against direct instantiation as described above.

Properties

KeyTypeReadonlyDescription
_operatorTypeOperatorTypeNoDiscriminates which operator this node represents (e.g. OperatorType.eq); set by each concrete subclass's constructor.

Operator does not itself implement _type or _serialize() — every subclass supplies its own.

Methods

Operator adds no methods beyond the constructor guard; all serialization behavior lives in the subclasses.
